Major
General Khurana assumed the assignment of
Director General of All India Management Association
(AIMA) in 1995. AIMA is the national apex body of
professional management in the country. During this
period of nearly 11 years, he has steered the National
Management Movement in the country and knitted together
63 Local Management Associations spread across India
and abroad thus establishing AIMA as a strong Institution
and a leader in Management Development Movement
in Asia. |

| As member of the
Executive Committee of Asian Association of Management
Organizations, which is the Regional Management
Body of World Management Council in Asia-Pacific
Region comprising 15 countries, he contributed greatly
in restructuring and revitalizing this major regional
grouping of the World Management Council. He was
the founding Secretary General of South Asian Association
of Management Organizations (SAAMO). |

| As a member of
various policy-making bodies of the Government of
India and other organizations, he has contributed
in a big way in the policy making at the national
level. He is Adjunct Professor of SwinBurne University
of Australia for the last four years. |

| A highly decorated
soldier, he was commended by the Army Chief for
exceptional Service and awarded Ati Vishist Seva
Medal by the President of India for distinguished
services of exceptional order. His service career
spans four decades. Although he was commissioned
in the Corps of Signals (Telecommunications and
Electronics) in the Army, he had the rare distinction
of being specially selected and inducted in the
General cadre of the Army on being promoted to the
rank of Brigadier. As a General Cadre Officer, he
had the honor of Commanding an Infantry Brigade
and Infantry Division. |
