Samina
Rizwan is Oracle Corporation’s Regional
Manager for SAGE (South Asia Growth Economies) West.
Part of Oracle Corporation Singapore Pte. Ltd. SAGE
represents six South Asian Countries – Bangladesh,
Nepal, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bhutan and Maldives.

| Samina is responsible
for market development, revenue growth and finding
ways of bringing relevant Oracle solutions to help
government and business in these countries. Samina
started her professional career at American Security
Bank in Washington DC. She has worked for a number
of IT companies including a stint as Director IT
at Paktel Limited. Samina has worked for Oracle
in UK can be credited as one of the pioneers who
introduced Oracle to Pakistan. |

| Samina is a Trustee
of Rizwan Scholars (www.rizwanscholars.org),
a not-for-profit tertiary education project which
grants scholarships for higher education to academically
brilliant but economically challenged young Pakistanis.
Samina has recently been nominated to the Board
of Directors, Khushhali Bank Limited. |

| Samina Rizwan
graduated from The American University in Washington
DC with a bachelors’ degree in Information
Systems Management. She also attended a telecommunications
program at the George Washington University in Washington
DC through USAID scholarship for higher studies.
A founder member of PMI Pakistan, Samina is a Certified
PMP (Project Management Professional) with Project
Management Institute of USA and is the first Pakistani
woman to achieve this certification. She has contributed
to the growth of Women in IT by assisting PAFWA
(PAF Women’s Association) in the establishment
of the Computer Lab for the Bilquis College of Education
and the Finishing School, as well as in the establishment
of the off-shore billing centre of a US based medical
billing firm. The off-shore centre, based in Islamabad,
boasts 80% female employees. |
