Prior to his appointment at Tameer, Nadeem spent 27 years with Citigroup, his last appointment being Country Manager for Citibank’s Iraq Operations within the Corporate Banking and Investment Division.

Nadeem has held several senior management positions with Citigroup in all major financial centers. Whilst based in the UK before his appointment in Iraq, he was instrumental in starting and managing CitiSolutions, the consumer bank’s financial advisory and services division for Western Europe, where the expected strength of the distribution force was 20,000 individuals, making it the largest in Western Europe. The target market was the middle-income individual who was under served.

As Country Risk Manager with Citigroup in Hong Kong and China, Nadeem was responsible for managing a portfolio of $4 billion in risk assets associated with the hand over of sovereignty from the UK to China. Nadeem also worked in New York, Greece, Bahrain and Riyadh for Citibank in credit, risk and relationship management roles.
