10th Management Convention
to host international corporate leaders, statesmen
in Pakistan
Karachi,
January 7 (PR) - A number of international
corporate leaders, strategists, statesmen and management
trainers have confirmed their participation in the
upcoming 10th Management Convention being held in
Karachi from March 6 – 8, 2006.
Hosted by the Management Association
of Pakistan (MAP), this event promises to be the
biggest corporate summit of the country. Scheduled
to be inaugurated by President General Pervez Musharraf,
the convention is being organized on the theme of
“Leadership, Innovation, Entrepreneurship”.
Shafiq Siddiqi, chairman of
MAP’s Convention Sub-Committee has hoped that
the event would go a long way in strengthening corporate
relations between Pakistani and international business
leaders and would help project a dynamic and positive
image of the country amongst the international business
community.

stated that some of the celebrity speakers visiting
Pakistan for the event include Dato Seri Anwar Ibrahim,
Former Deputy Prime Minister of Malaysia; Dr. Walter
Kuemmerle, Professor of Business Administration
and Entrepreneurship at Harvard Business School;
Ian Yang, Vice President and General Manager Asia
Pacific of Intel Corporation; Terry Reilly, Director
Innovation at KPMG Business Advisory Singapore;
Abdullah Al Daboos, Director General Emirates Post;
Dr. Madan Kataria, Founder of Laughter Yoga School
India; and Mahboob Mahmood, Professor at INSEAD
and CEO of Knowledge Platform, Singapore. Other
speakers are also expected from Nokia Corporation,
Fortune Magazine and Boeing Corporation.
Top Pakistani personalities
who would be heard at the convention include Dr.
Abdul Hafeez Shaikh; Tariq Kirmani, Chairman Pakistan
International Airlines; Samina Rizwan, Regional
Director SAGE Oracle Corporation; and Chaudhry Ahsan
Iqbal, Former Deputy Chairman Planning Commission.

The global news leader Cable
News Network (CNN) is associated with this event
as an International Media Partner. It is for the
first time that CNN has partnered with an event
in Pakistan. Hamza Wasi Hashmi of Octara has informed

confirmed its association with the event as a media
