Karachi,
February 3 – The Management Association
of Pakistan (MAP) has announced that the 10th Management
Convention of the MAP is scheduled to be held at
Karachi from the 6th to 8th of March. The convention
is based on the theme of “Leadership, Innovation,
Entrepreneurship”.
President of MAP Sohail Wajahat
Hussain Siddiqui told a media gathering here on
Friday that this event would bring about a positive
and constructive interaction between the Pakistani
business community and the global business leaders.
Sohail Wajahat was accompanied by representatives
of the event managers for the convention, Octara,
as well as other sponsors, partners and MAP convention
sub committee members. The guests were welcomed
by Hamza Hashmi of Octara.
This interaction would also
serve as a dynamic image-marketing tool for Pakistan
to show the world, the amount of progress and maturity
achieved by the groomers’ of the country’s
economy and facilitate the transfer of international
best practices and aspects of human excellence,
he said. The event is to be aggressively marketed
in the South Asian and Middle East region besides
Pakistan.
Expected to be inaugurated
by the President of Pakistan General Pervez Musharraf
through a live address via satellite hook up, the
10th Management Convention would be featuring around
8 international business strategists, statesmen
and corporate leaders and a similar number from
Pakistan as well as other panelists.
Sohail Wajahat said that
this convention would be made a regular international
event on the regional level, which would attract
speakers and delegates from across the world. “It
is no minor achievement for this country that such
a large number of global strategists and business
leaders have shown active interest in an event being
held in Pakistan and have confirmed their presence
in the 10th Management Convention”, he stated.
