Shaun is responsible for managing the MasterCard business in the Middle East and Pakistan through effective deployment of MasterCard’s business strategy. He leads a team of Country Managers in Egypt, Levant, Pakistan along with Commerce Development activities to ensure the close alignment of MasterCard with consumers, merchants, financial institutions and other partners in these markets.

Shaun started his financial services career in the United States in 1986 with Citibank and joined MasterCard (USA) in 1990. Over the last 18 years, Shaun has held various positions at MasterCard in different geographies which have given him keen insights into the payments system business. He has a deep understanding of the credit cards business; including - Issuing, Acquiring, Merchant Processing, Operations, Sales & Marketing, Portfolio Management, Debit and Advanced Payments. He moved to Dubai in 1997 from MasterCard’s corporate headquarters in New York and has played a key role in the strong growth of MasterCard in this region. In addition to his business responsibilities, he is also a member of the MasterCard’s Global Diversity Council.
