Tariq Qureishy is the CEO of SAB Holding and SAB Media. As Group CEO he managers all the companies in the Group which includes Media, Telecoms & Technology, Retail, Real Estate, Logistics and Investments. The Group is headquartered in the KSA with regional offices in London, Dubai, Cairo & Jeddah.
Tariq has a degree in Economics and attended Harvard Business School. He has varied international experience of more than 25 years in general management, brand equity development, sales, marketing, business development, strategic planning and change management, leadership of international teams and HR, accounting and private equity and consulting in the media, information services & technology areas.
Over the last five years Tariq has been involved in consulting and the development of start up of organisations related to media, technology and telecoms (TMT). Tariq has also led several strategic consultancy projects in the TMT and other business sectors in USA, Europe, Middle East and Africa.
Tariq was also the CEO of the Information Services & Media Group of a private equity firm based in London and Dubai for over two years.
Prior to that, Tariq led several international initiatives during his 12-year tenure in Dow Jones, both in London and in the EMEA region. This included his role as Regional Director, Southern Europe, Middle East and Africa for ten years, incorporating 20 countries and over $100m+ in revenues.
The focus was in:
• Online financial services (including Dow Jones Markets Services, Telerate, AP-DJ news services, WSJ Online, Factiva, etc)
• Publishing (supporting Wall Street Journal interests, including local language inserts with major local newspapers in Turkey & South Africa)
• TV (supporting European Business News)
Introduction of several content & technology products
• International conferences & seminars
Tariq's community service work includes setting up a charitable initiative called Mobile-Aid, using technology and know-how to raise funds focusing on worthy causes relating to children all over the world. He is also involved in several other humanitarian projects internationally.
